Every time I see a Baja Bug, I want to import a VW Brasilia and do this to it, and rock it all day:
Or ..
This
.
.
.
Or even this.
I've seen a Karmann Ghia bajafied, so why not one of these?

a decent basis that would save you alot of money and time would be using a 412. Looks are very similar, engine is at least a dual carb... I would love it

I wonder if I can easily find a 412, Because Brasilias are everywhere in Brazil and are often dirt cheap.

412's in the US - if you can find one - are usually unloved and cheap. Kind of like type 3's, but those have found a fan club. A few out there https://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/486211…

Those are a lot cheaper than I thought, same prices the Brazilian versions get, minus the import fees to bring one over. I got inspired after I saw a cousin buy one to use the engine for a trike.

Someday soon as prices drop, I will do this to a second Fiat 500.

doing such a thing to a new car just looks wrong.

That's why I am going to wait for a few years.

yeah they really arent too pricey, worth it for what they are, which is like a beetle but so superior in every way. the E models were like 75-80 hp from the factory too. The brasilia was weak sauce (but also a shorter wheelbase)
